ARE YOU PARENTING OR ARE YOU PARENTING WELL?

SLK front cover 3.4.jpg

Raising kids today is more challenging than it has ever been. Technology, social media, and the ever-shifting standards of what is right and wrong can make parenting in this modern-day culture difficult to navigate. Parents can easily find themselves tired and overwhelmed. Steve Hines believes most parents want to parent well, and to do so must fully accept and adopt the high level of dedication and commitment the responsibility requires. Parenting well requires a heightened sense of discernment and wisdom to clearly see how society is affecting our children and to make Godly parenting decisions, despite the loud voice of the culture. It requires a willingness to teach and lead our children by personal example and not just by words. Salt, Light, & Kids is a how-to manual that encourages parents to stay fully engaged in the parenting journey, all the way from the early years to adulthood. Steve Hines guides parents in training up their children to become the salt of the earth and the light of the world, and to clearly hear God’s voice throughout the journey.

"Whether you're expecting your first child or in the frontlines of the teen years, you will discover Salt, Light, & Kids to be an invaluable resource for your parenting journey."

If our kids rarely or never experience bad situations because we as parents act like bumpers in a bowling lane for them, their growth as humans will be stunted. They NEED to throw a gutter ball every now and then. Without bumpers, their bowling score won’t always be as good, but eventually they will become better overall bowlers.
